Summer is hard for TV fanatics like us. Sure, the weather’s awesome and there’s conventions and festivals galore. But many of our favorite series are on hiatus and the struggle for new content is real.

Luckily, we have San Diego Comic-Con coming up in a few weeks to whet our appetites for the fall lineup. As a Oncer, I can’t wait to see where “Once Upon A Time” showrunners Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitniss take us in Season 6.

Season 5 left us with quite a bit of heartbreak after seeing Regina (Lana Parrilla) lose her true love, Robin Hood. She fought the internal battle of good and evil and seemingly extracted the Evil Queen part of herself. Or so she thought.

This season we’ll get to see Parrilla play a dual role once again as Regina and the Evil Queen. I can’t wait! As much as I love the character development over the past few seasons, I still love to see Lana as the Queen. And her outfits are always on point.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, there are a lot of questions regarding Season 6. Some of those include how much magic is left in Storybrooke, how will the new characters get there, how does the Evil Queen live without a heart, and what about Belle’s unborn child?

Kitniss and Horowitz promise this season will be full of surprises and will break the format we’ve grown accustomed to with a mid-season arc and finale arc. We will get to see more storyline resolved and won’t have to wait until the end of the season or next season for a resolution. We’re also promised that certain characters’ storylines will be revisited. With all the material and characters available in the Land of Untold Stories, the possibilities are endless.

Characters set to return to Storybrooke will include Lily and Maleficent. On Twitter, Horowitz also promised that we haven’t seen the end of Dopey’s story, who was last seen being turned into a tree.

For Captain Swan shippers, we saw the Savior and her Pirate reunited after a trip to the Underwood. Kitniss and Horowitz stayed mum on the possibility of wedding bells, but didn’t rule out the possibility.

We will have detailed coverage of Season 6 during San Diego Comic-Con, so be sure to check our social media accounts for the latest updates.
