Harry Potter and the Cursed Child casts a spell on fans
It’s been 9 years, but now the line of fans across the nation are getting their hands on a new adventure in the Harry Potter series. “Harry Potter & the Cursed Child” isn’t the format that fans will be used to. The book is actually the script to the play that is running in London.
The book is available in Hardcover for around $17.99 in most stores and online. The fact that the book isn’t a continuing novel has had no effect on the sales, as fans are quick to “goblet” it up. The play in London is already sold out through May, 2017.
Fans have been encouraged not to share spoilers by creator, JK Rowling. To their credit, they’ve been hush-hush about the whole matter. The story arc of the play is set 19 years after the closing of the Deathly Hallows, picking up right when Harry and Ginny, now married, are saying goodbye to their son, Albus, as he heads off to study in his first year at Hogwarts.
Harry and his son Albus Severus (named for Dumbledore and Severus Snape) each one struggle with the legacy of the Potter name, after Harry defeated Voldemort. Harry is working as an auror and is the father of 3 children.
Fandom rejoice! There is finally some good news for those of us within the house of Gryffindor! Not since we found out Universal Studios had a Harry Potter themed park have we been so thrilled. “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is available now in book stores and online.
