Tony Bennett turned 90 years old on August 3, 2016. Born in Astoria, New York City, NY, Anthony Dominick Benedetto is a big band and jazz singer, with pop standards and the songs we’ve all grown up on, such as “The Lady is a Tramp,” “The Way You Look Tonight” and “Body & Soul.”

There’s so much more to Bennett, though. If you’ve not seen his paintings, you’re missing some incredible work. You can find his artwork here to view and to purchase. They’re dynamic and you can tell by looking that they are full of life, like the artist himself. Tony still makes appearances on television, including a recent visit to “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” and “The Today Show,” with no signs of slowing down any time soon. He’s recorded with practically everyone, from Lady Gaga to Amy Winehouse and Aretha Franklin to Willie Nelson.

“The whole experience is going to take me a long time to think about,” Bennett said. “And I just love every moment of what’s happening today.” Bennett’s career got its boost with the hit, “I Wanna Be Around,” which hit #14 on the charts on March 30, 1963. Of course, the song has come true. Bennett is not only still around, but at age 90 is still working, most recently with Lady Gaga, with sold-out shows and albums.

It’s truly been “The Good Life” for Tony Bennett! Happiest of birthdays to him.
