Tom Hanks gets the biopic movie treatment, thanks to Jimmy Kimmel [Video]
Tom Hanks is an icon. So many of famous movie lines have made it into our everyday conversations. His characters, many of them heroic, delineate entire timelines of cinema.
So when we heard that Captain “Sully” Sullenberger was his next acting gig, we were excited. When Jimmy Kimmel heard it, he was pondering how to make their interview together hilarious.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live” decided to spoof the biopic brand of movies that Hanks is famous for with one aimed directly at the star, in “Hanks.” According to Kimmel and Sully, the Hanks life story came in at $90M, but we’re thinking that may be slightly exaggerated.
The twist? Sullenberger would be playing the lead. Since Kimmel already had his lead, why not bring in the co-star of “Bosom Buddies,” Peter Scolari? Scolari himself has been hard at work on “Gotham” on FOX, playing the role of corrupt politician, Commissioner Loeb.
